PANORMITIS
No trip to Symi would be complete without a visit to Panormitis which is situated at the south of the island, as you sail into this very pretty harbour you will be greeted by its wonderful 18th-century monastery a beautiful long white Venetian building, dedicated to the Archangel Michael the patron saint of sailors. The monastery is set against a backdrop of pine trees and sounds a bell every time a ferry either comes into port or departs a lovely old tradition. Here you can sit along the harbour front, enjoy a Turkish tea and watch the yachts sail in.
